To be able to place something in the world, you'll need a terrain to place it on.
Todo that, simply head over to the Terrain Painter and create one!.
Terrain size and base material
When creating a new terrain, you get the option to select terrain size and base material.
- Size: Start off small. A 1x1 patch is already of an adequate size (128x128 tiles) for medium sized house.
- Material: You'll be asked to select a material resource from the Content browser. Good base materials for terrains can be found in the Shared folder of the Content browser. They start with "TR_" in their name.
